EXPLANATORY NOTES
This is an aromatic blend of herbs that are traditionally used to promote good digestive functions and relieve gastrointestinal distress. The taste is mildly sweet and pleasant, and is influenced by the licorice taste of the digestive trio of licorice, fennel, and anise. The essential oils in the herbs, especially in anise, fennel, peppermint, and yarrow, break up gas in the intestines, relax muscular spasms due to irritation, and, as a result, alleviate discomfort after meals. Licorice has a soothing and anti-inflammatory action that will alleviate gastro-intestinal irritations that provoke reactions to foods. Several of the herbs stimulate bile secretion, which will help prevent gallstone formation, promote the digestion of fats, and help prevent both diarrhea and constipation.

COMBINING
For digestive problems with constipation, use this tea along with Laxative Tea. All of the herbs in Tea for Digestion, except boldo leaf, are traditionally used also in the treatment of mucus accumulation and various respiratory disorders; so, persons suffering from the common cold, bronchitis, excessive sputum production, and other respiratory disorders may use this tea along with Tea for Colds or Tea for Flu to enhance their symptom-relieving effects.

CAUTIONS
If symptoms persist, see your doctor. Limit use during pregnancy to no more than two teabags each day. Women wanting to avoid estrogenic effects should limit their intake of this formula (not use it every day at full recommended dosage).
